K-9 - BRASIL

About K-9

Previous Entry K-9 Mar. 5th, 2009 @ 11:47 am Next Entry

That's Keirrison de Souza Carneiro (aka K-9, DOB December 3rd, 1988), Brazil's new 'it' boy. In the above picture he's sporting the Corotiba jersey, but he now plays for a big team for the Campeonato Paulista, Palmeiras.

He's scored 13 times in 10 matches and is expected to have a spot in the Seleção soon-ish.

It's also been reported that Premiere League team Liverpool has shown some interest in him.

I heard Milan is after him, too. I don't follow Palmeiras, but for what I saw in the news and everything, he really is great... Everybody wants him in the NT, and I'd like to see how he plays, too. :)

Apparently, so is Barcelona, since Keirrison expressed an identification with the team and said his dream was to play with Messi.

I prefer La Liga over Serie A, so I hope K9 lands a position with them and manages to live up to the "new Romário" expectations.

I support Milan so I'd love to see him there, but whatever's best for him... Anyways, I think any club he ends up in should take it easy, cuz a lot is expected and sometimes that's hard for the players. :\

I think he's already expecting a lot from himself. He's been playing terrible the last couple of games, including one where Barcelona watchers went to the stadium just to see him. :( He also played crap and was reportedly depressed after Dunga called the players and his name wasn't in the list. :(

It's complicated because while I think he's definitely has a smell for goals, he doesn't seem to have the same kind of confidence most forwards have. The 'marra' that Romário, Ronaldo and Adriano have may be annoying, but it tends to help them out on the field. He isn't even cheeky like Pato. :/

Neymar, the 17 yo from Santos, seems to be fairing better in the self-belief department. Probably because foreing teams have been trying to take him away since he was around 13 years old. :S

Has he? I'm really not following... That sucks, yeah. But I don't think Dunga will call him anytime soon. It seems to me as if he's gonna stop trying to bring Ronaldinho back and use Pato a bit more...

Yeah and if you're like that, everything that involves the game will eat you alive, right? :\\

Neymar is surrounded by his family and everything, too, so I guess it's easier to keep your head together and know your potential - don't now if K9 has that. :\
