That's Keirrison de Souza Carneiro (aka K-9, DOB December 3rd, 1988), Brazil's new 'it' boy. In the above picture he's sporting the Corotiba jersey, but he now plays for a big team for the Campeonato Paulista, Palmeiras.

He's scored 13 times in 10 matches and is expected to have a spot in the Seleção soon-ish.

It's also been reported that Premiere League team Liverpool has shown some interest in him.

A few weeks ago, Brasil's u-20 seleção won the South American title, securing a place in the World Under-20 Championships, played in Egypt this year.

Keeping my fingers crossed for them. They were knocked out  in 2007 in the round of 16 by Spain, Pato and all. Hope they do better this year.  Gotta love that they were not only born here, but also trained and developed here (all of them still play here, btw), instead of being just randomly exported to some European team when they were 11 or something.

A lot more about the Brasil u-20 team in their tag at the futbolita blog.

» AC Milan Fan Puts Dida Up For Auction
ROME (Reuters) - An angry AC Milan fan put Brazil goalkeeper Dida up for sale online ahead of next week's Champions League semi-final return with Manchester United.

The 33-year-old, who joined Milan in 2000, was a hero after the shootout win over Juventus in the 2003 Champions League final but his popularity has slumped after a series of errors.

He was criticized following last week's 3-2 first-leg defeat to United at Old Trafford, when he flapped a Cristiano Ronaldo header into his own net and then left his near post exposed for Wayne Rooney to blast home a stoppage-time winner.

Dida failed to attract great interest on eBay. The price, before the Brazilian international was removed from the auction site on Friday, had reached 71 euros (US$97) after 25 bids.
